The Tablelands Folk Festival Yungaburra Sessions has had a rather chequered past. Some months attracting a great crowd, some months a quiet affair.
The July sessions featuring one of North Queensland’s premier entertainers ,Jeremiah Johnson should prove to be the former.
Jeremiah returns to the Sessions stage at the Yungaburra Pub on Saturday 25th July from 7 pm.
As usual the event kicks off at 3 pm with the infamous verandah jam session featuring some of the best Celtic players in Far North Queensland.
We are also very proud to announce that this will be the 2014 Tablelands Folk Festival Program Launch. If you want to be one of the first to see who’s performing at this year’s Festival, come along for a sneak preview.
Tickets for this year’s Festival go on sale on 1st August. Numbers will be capped again this year so it’s first in best dressed.
Last year’s festival was a close to sell out event and we expect a similar result this year.

With accolades to have supported an array of acclaimed international touring acts such as “Harry Manx and Angus and Julia Stone”. Whilst also supporting Australian touring artist’s such as “The Basic’s and Ash Grunwald”.
At home in Australia “Jeremiah Johnson” is well regarded with a charming, witty and insightful stage presence. He naturally exudes philosophy with a TM8ort like personality, that doesn’t get lost in pretentiousness. Melodically he address’s an audience with tasteful guitar attributes, accompanied by a clear singing voice, “that savors words with importance’. Expect a well considered sound that tastefully blends, Folk, Roots, World Music and Spoken words.
As a solo performer we are guaranteed to hear something unique each performance. Inspired by, an Australian heritage and social assimilation views, “Jeremiah Johnson” appeals to a wide audience.
It’s great to see so many Tablelands and Coastal musicians getting involved in the monthly event. Last month was Bob Elliston’s birthday bash and he and his band played out the night.
